I was born in Naples into a family of merchants, an environment where the value of things is measured through experience, attentive listening and keeping one’s word. After completing my studies, I left home early, driven by enthusiasm and a strong sense of curiosity, determined to build my own path beyond familiar borders, while carrying with me the practical mindset and sense of responsibility that only a family business can instil.
I graduated with a degree in Economics and Business from the University of Naples Federico II in 1993. A journey that has turned my curiosity about the markets into expertise: analysis, method and vision, enabling me to make decisions based on data and real-world scenarios.
I obtained the qualification of Graduate Gemologist from the GIA – Gemological Institute of America, the world’s leading authority on gemmological training. It was a pivotal step: a rigorous training programme that equipped me with the methodology, expertise and technical vocabulary to assess gemstones with precision, distinguish their qualities and characteristics objectively, and discern what remains invisible at first glance. This gives rise to an even more rigorous approach to valuation: one based on certified expertise, analysis and verification, rather than on impressions.
I am a member of the Antwerp Diamond Exchange, one of Europe’s oldest and most prestigious trading centres, where rules, reputation and rigorous oversight are paramount. In addition to this experience, I am a chartered accountant registered with the Italian National Register: this dual expertise enables me to combine market insight with financial soundness, whilst ensuring that every transaction remains balanced.
